Specialty Oil Blend
What makes our products different from those on the market?
That's a great question!! Not only have we backed our formula with years of research and science, we have dedicated hundreds of hours researching the perfect oils to be paired with our butters and scrubs. We've specifically chosen oils that are nutrient and beneficial to the skin. After years of trial and error and research, we have crafted the perfect blend of oils that compliment our shea butter.
Our shea butters are whipped to perfection. The light, airy consistency has been formulated to quickly absorb into the skin. Trust us, a little goes a long way. With consistent and continued use, the skin will not require as much butter for moisture.
Here are some of the benefits of the oils we use in our products.
Avocado Oil
Avocado oil is used to combat dryness and dullness. Known for its minerals, vitamins (A, D, and E), the fatty acid is used as an emollient to restore hydration to the skin. Avocado oil is also used to fight dry skin and treat skin conditions such as psoriasis and eczema.
Sweet Almond Oil
Sweet Almond oil contains vitamin E that aids in keeping the skin healthy, soft, protects against UV radiation, etc. Additionally, it also contains vitamin A which helps with acne. Sweet Almond oil is a light oil that penetrates the skin with fatty acids to help retain moisture and heal chapped skin.
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
We chose to use Extra Virgin Olive Oil because it contains vitamin E which aids in restoring damaged skin cells and preventing UV light from penetrating the skin. It also contains polyphenols which protects the skin cells and help slowing down the ageing process. Phytosterols act as antioxidants to promote collagen, which naturally decreases as we age.
Coconut Oil
Coconut Oil is commonly known for reducing dryness, removing impurities, and soothing irritated skin. Coconut oil contains fatty acids which greatly reduces dryness and helps to retain moisture. It also acts as a shield to help avoid environmental toxins that can affect the skin. It absorbs quickly to soften the skin for a more smoothing affects that leads to improved skin texture over time.
Grapeseed Oil
Since we encourage daily use of our butters, Grapeseed oil assists with the skin’s elasticity. Grapeseed oil contains an antioxidant (proanthocyanidin) that evens out skin tone when used consistently. Lastly, to help fight acne, it has antimicrobial properties that attack bacteria that can cause breakouts.
Jojoba Oil
Jojoba oil works as a humectant to seal the skin with a protective barrier from losing moisture. Its light consistency mirrors the body natural sebum that the skin can’t tell the difference. This decreases build up on the skin that can lead to clogged pores. Antioxidants in Jojoba oil helps produce collagen.
